Hi!

Hi!
I’m Munevver Elçi.I was born on 19 June in 1990 in Adıyaman as second child of my parents.I am from Adıyaman and my family still live there.I have an elder sister and two brothers. My sister is studying medicine and one of my brothers is at high school and the other is at elementary school at sixth grade. My father is pensioner as a labourer and my mother is house-wife.
I had never lived apart from my family before I came here , Ankara; so it was difficult to get used to living here.Sometimes I still feel homesick.
I have graduated from Adıyaman Anatolian Teachers Training High School and I actually didn’t want to attend a university in Ankara.METU’s being in Ankara was a disadvantage for me because nearly all of my friends are at the universities in Istanbul and Ankara is somehow a boring and unchallenging city for me.Ihad always wanted not to have tomake a decision between a university in Ankara and Istanbul. But eventually I have to do that.My grade wasn’t good enough to go to Boğaziçi University and wasn’t so bad to go to Istanbul University.I couldn’t refuse the change of studying at METU even though it is in Ankara.I came to METU not very eagerly but the campus made me feel happy at first but when the semester started I again felt unhappy for a time .Now it is not perfect but better than before at METU.
Firstly I was planning to continue education after I have graduated but now the only thing I want is to graduate as much as earlier and go to my hometown.Living apart from my family is not something for me.
I actually like action and adventure but in here I usually feel stressed and want to do nothing which may be caused by the weather and surroundings.I like reading different kind of books, chatting on the Internet and travelling with my friends.
I think that reading and writing course will help us much. First semester we didn’t do any writing so it can be hard for us to write an essay every week but I expect to get used to that in short period. From the first lesson it seemed to be a joyful course because it is not only reading and writing but also includes interesting activities. The only thing that ‘ll make that course hard is “Tapped In” activity because everybody’s meeting on the Internet at the same time every week seems to be difficult.Because when I have free time maybe the others will be very busy and when they are free I may be very busy. And it is possible that one of ours notebook can be not working or Internet may be unaccessible at that time suddenly. So I think making that activity every week is not proper .It would be better to do once a month or in another way.
Thanks…
MÜNEVVER ELÇİ
